CRO strategist @ Pacer
Published: August 29, 2025
Job description
We’re looking for a CRO Specialist who can turn behavioural insight into measurable commercial impact. You’ll use quant and qual inputs to identify friction points in the customer journey, then design and run experiments informed by behavioural economics, nudge theory, and decision-making psychology. This is about shaping experiences that influence behaviour change and grow sustainable revenue.
*Responsibilities*
Diagnose opportunities by analysing quantitative (GA, Shopify, Klaviyo, heatmaps) and qualitative (user testing, surveys) data.
Translate findings into behavioural hypotheses and prioritised test plans.
Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests across landing pages, product pages, checkout flows, and retention touchpoints.
Apply behavioural science frameworks (e.g. Endowed Progress, Decoy Effect, Goal Gradient) to craft interventions that influence decisions.
Partner with designers, developers, and other strategists to bring ideas to life and ensure test validity.
Track, analyse, and communicate results with clear commercial impact — focusing on profit per visitor rather than vanity metrics.
Contribute to Pacer’s behavioural playbook, sharing learnings that shape our client methodology.
Experience Requirements
Strong analytical skills: able to interrogate data to find signal, not noise.
Hands-on experience with CRO tools (Intelligems, Shoplift, Visually).
Understanding of e-commerce metrics and Shopify ecosystem.
Familiarity with behavioural economics and psychology — ideally able to cite principles in plain English and apply them creatively.
Comfortable formulating hypotheses, testing, and iterating quickly.
Clear communicator, capable of turning data and behavioural insight into persuasive client recommendations.
Curious, commercially-minded, and motivated by solving complex growth challenges.
