Retention Manager - Cheeky @ Cheeky
Published: June 11, 2025
Job description
Cheeky is an all natural hygiene brand for people that spend a bit too much time online. Started by Charlie aka MoistCr1tiKaL, instead of making products "for men" or faux-luxury, we try to make high quality products that are actually fun to use. Our core product is a moisturizing bar soap that's packed with hydrating ingredients like shea butter and jojoba oil. Every bar has a fun fragrance that you can actually smell, and a name that you'll enjoy if you spend enough time online (Pulp Francis, Touch Grass).
Role Description:
We’re looking for someone who can strategize and execute on our monthly marketing calendar via email, SMS, and the occasional IG post.
Unlike most DTC brands our primary acquisition channel is partnerships with large YouTubers and Twitch Streamers. So instead of making a bunch of facebook ads for a new product release, we need to focus on our owned channels.
We know that social media is very different from email/sms but it’s also not our primary focus right now. It’s not required but would be nice to have someone who can make and share a post when we have something to talk about.
On the email and SMS side, a typical month has a product release, special promotion, or a big new partnership to anchor the calendar around. Outside of that we fill out the month with educational/informative/humorous content to get to around 8-10 sends per month.
At our size the ideal candidate is someone who is very hands on. Not only helping to plan and improve the calendar, but actually write copy and design emails too. A typical month might require coordinating with one of our freelance illustrators, getting photos taken with Soona, and requesting content rights from a creator to feature in an email.
Outside of executing on the campaign calendar, we have a lot of room for improvement on our overall retention strategy. The right candidate will have no shortage of opportunities to take on more things and have a meaningful impact on the trajectory of the business.
Experience Requirements
We don't have a full time design resource so having some design chops and experience using Figma would be a huge plus.
Looking for someone based in the U.S or North America.
Not looking to hire an agency.
At least 2 years experience working directly with brands or in-house on a marketing team.
