Senior Amazon PPC Strategist — High-Budget Accounts (Contract) @ EmbraceEcommerce
Published: April 3, 2026
Job description
We have a team of PPC managers handling the bulk of day-to-day execution. This role sits above them — setting strategy, defining account structure, guiding optimizations, making tactical adjustments when needed, and ensuring our approach aligns with each client's commercial goals. You'll have support, but you need to be comfortable getting into the accounts when the situation calls for it.
Your primary focus to start will be leading the setup and configuration of Pacvue across our accounts. You need to know this platform well enough to architect it properly from day one — campaign structure, automation rules, bid strategies, dayparting logic, budget pacing, all of it. We'll eventually transition to another automation platform, so adaptability matters.
What this role looks like:
— Develop and communicate PPC strategy aligned with client P&L targets and category dynamics
— Oversee and direct our internal PPC team — reviewing performance, flagging issues, and providing clear guidance on adjustments
— Lead Pacvue setup and ensure the foundation is built correctly before we scale
— Make strategic and tactical adjustments in-platform as needed
— Advise on competitive positioning in high-spend, high-competition categories
— Participate in occasional client-facing strategy discussions as needed
This is a part-time consulting engagement (approximately 5–10 hours/week). We're looking for a flat monthly retainer — we are not open to percentage-of-ad-spend pricing models.
Experience Requirements
— Hands-on experience with Pacvue — specifically account setup, automation configuration, rule building, and campaign architecture. This is non-negotiable.
— Deep understanding of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and AMC audience strategies
— Experience working in or with Amazon agencies — you understand the dynamics of managing PPC across a portfolio of clients, not just a single brand
— Ability to translate high-level business goals (TACOS targets, profitability, market share) into actionable PPC strategy
— Strong communication skills — you'll be directing a team, not just running campaigns in isolation
— Familiarity with transitioning between automation/bid management platforms is a plus
