Overview

I help brands use AI to move faster on Shopify without leaving fragile theme code behind. If changes were made with Sidekick, Canvas, Cursor, ChatGPT or Claude, I review the Liquid, JavaScript, app blocks, tracking and mobile journeys, document risks, and repair what needs fixing on a duplicate development theme.

I'm Phil Blakemore, a senior developer with over 12 years in web development and six years building and refining Shopify storefronts. Through Candystore Studios, I work directly with ecommerce brands and agencies on custom themes, app integrations, performance and conversion.

My AI-focused services include a Canvas Compatibility Audit and a review-and-fix package for AI-generated theme code. I also build custom sections and upgrade existing themes while preserving important customisations.

Recent work includes restoring Rebuy Smart Cart and Klaviyo tracking for Madison's Niche, building custom Horizon sections for Motive Goods, and upgrading Xado's Empire theme. I'm based in Northern Ireland and work with teams across Europe and North America.
